Departmental Mission, Vision and Values Statement

Mission:

The Los Angeles County Public Defender protects the life and liberty of adults and children in matters having penal consequences. Our mandate is to ensure equal treatment within the justice system by safeguarding liberty intersts and upholding the rights of individuals.
