PUBLIC INFORMATION ACCESS POLICY

All Board letters, memorandums and reports shall be made available to the general public within one business day from delivery to Board offices in the following manner:

  1. Such documents shall be posted in the public lobby of the Departmental Executive Offices, located on the 19th Floor of the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, 210 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
  2. Such documents shall be posted on the Departmental website.
  3. An electronic version of such documents shall be forwarded for posting on the Los Angeles County Public Information Central website.
  4. Copies of such documents or any pertinent Departmental policies and procedures may be obtained by contacting Public Defender Administrative Deputy in the Executive Offices or at (213) 974-2807.

All requests for documents pursuant to the California Public Records Act shall be processed in conformance with Los Angeles County Public Defender Policy & Procedures A-14, Release of Public Records, a copy of which is posted on the Public Defender Website at pd.co.la.ca.us.

All comments to the media by departmental staff shall be governed by Los Angeles County Public Defender Policy & Procedure M-1, Media Policy, a copy of which is posted on the Public Defender Website at http://pd.co.la.ca.us.
